Customer ReviewsRating: 3 out of 5 Skip the first half I found this book covered too many points on the spectrum. The first half goes over everything BUT SIP. Most people who want to learn the generic SIP structure already know how a simple telephone and data network operates. This takes a little too long to get the the "meat" but from there on gives a pretty good detail of the SIP format for anyone looking at understanding the basic SIP code format. As a fundamentals book for anyone wanting to start learning SIP programming it would be a good reference to have on the shelf. Skip the first half though. Rating: 5 out of 5 The best SIP book for beginners This is the best book for who wants to know about SIP initially, especially on what SIP can do conceptually. This book is feasible for everyone that includes executives, managers and engineers. This book also provides very good related information in the Internet Forum. Rating: 5 out of 5 My best book to understand SIP SIP Demystified covers not only SIP protocol itself but also why SIP is so good in Internet world. That would help us to understand SIP so much. Especially, this book is recommended to, like me, those who are moving from switched voice into a data networking environment as editorial reviewer says. I hope that SIP Demystified will be translated into Japanese soon for my colleagues or friends.
