One with Experience and Enthusiasm
I can speak directly for the author's experience at a Fortune 150 company as well as his enthusiasm to hold classes to teach Shell Scripting voluntarily at his place of occupation. Having worked with Randy, I can speak to his passion for AIX Scripting. Just to point out an example, we had an application that was causing severe logging problems and Randy PROACTIVELY wrote a script to monitor the size of the log before and after it was fixed. This was a crucial script which allowed us to take action before the application would fail due to the size of the log. Randy explains things in a clear, concise manner and I am sure that his passion for AIX scripting will be a stepping stone for anyone wanting to learn AIX scripting as well as a handy reference for the AIX experienced professional as well.

An excellent AIX Administration Guide
This is an excellent book. It was very well written. It is very hard to find good AIX System's Administration documentation. I found this book very concise and user friendly. I recommend it to the beginner as well as the advanced AIX System's Administrator.
