Customer ReviewsRating: 4 out of 5 Smart book The book offers a very broad and seemingly unrelated range of information. You read, familiarize yourself with the theory of what is done in the field and afterwards it is very easy to apply the quite interesting information in this book. Inevitably, you would require some more practical (not necessarily detailed) information pertaining to more advanced projects. In this case you will at least know what you are looking for and manage the time and project in a more professional manner. Rating: 4 out of 5 I actually became smarter after reading this book ; ) The book offers a very broad and seemingly unrelated range of information. Rating: 4 out of 5 Time is of the essence Despite other mediocre reviews here, I think this book is a godsend. I am a technical writer at a 3D animation company and had to learn the ins and outs of animation in a matter of weeks. Needless to say I scoped dozens of books when most of the info I needed was in this slick volume all the time. Strong points include sections on constraints and inverse and forward kinematics. But there are many gems to be found. Don't be fooled, get this as you begin your foray into animation and save yourself some effort!
