Customer ReviewsRating: 1 out of 5 Save your book budget. Another talk around the problem SAP book. Software included is obsolete. Misleading descriptions of tables and fields. Won't help you write a report if your life depended on it. Methodology is fine, but who needs another methodology book? Rating: 3 out of 5 Don't buy it for the software! I purchased the book about 6 months ago and have spent a lot of that time (on and off) trying to locate the author and/or his company (which seems to have gone out of business by the way). Supplied with the book is Activesheets...a product that I was VERY excited about using - except that I couldn't get the product to work in our 4.6 environment. Maybe we haven't configured OIW or LIS correctly, maybe activesheets doesn't work in 4.6...I'm not sure. The book is not ONLY about how to use the ActiveSheets to do reporting, but that IS a large part of it. So if you don't have OIW/LIS up and running in SAP...don't bother.. There is some good info in the book regarding business objects, what kind of reports might be good to be able to deliver to end users, some info on SIS, - but it is NOT, as the cover indicates, "The complete and only book you need to create robust reports and ebusiness applications with SAP R/3" (unless you can get ActiveSheets to work!). Would I buy it again knowing I can't get the ActiveSheets up and running...no. Rating: 5 out of 5 Very good methodology If you're looking how to do just R/3 reports, this is probably the wrong book for yuo. However, I like the methdology a lot. It is an excellent process for any kind of information delivery. I've implemented something like it, and so far it's worked oujt great.
