Customer ReviewsRating: 1 out of 5 Some good content, but hard to get to Our class recently used this as a textbook for a graduate program. The entire class commented on how difficult the book was to read. With all of the notations within the text and the short stories or sometimes explanations of material it was hard to pick out the content. There were parts of chapter 17 that bordered on un-readable. Someone need to find a better was to layout the book. And why are there questions for review and question for discussion? I didn't see the point in splitting them up. Rating: 5 out of 5 The Definitive Source for Decision Support Systems This is the best written text on decision support systems; it does a great job of explaining and integrating energing technologies. The examples and illustrations highlight the chapter material very effectively. Rating: 1 out of 5 Verbose without clarity - a "0" for this waste of paper After reading dozens of technical texts, I was so extremely disgusted with the text I feel compelled to suggest that students urge their professors replace this book with Marakas or something similar. The Turban-Aronson so-called book is as follows: Content - unfocused, left the victim (customer) feeling that the authors were paid by the word. In some instances the book had up to six definitions for a word, and failed to arrive at the best definition! Sequence of Chapters - messy back and forth with the same topic rather than integrating; authors milked the publisher for more pages. Glossary - fails to define the words as described in the chapter material - sadly fell short for most words. Website Companion - matched the book; out of sequence chapters with messy, unfocused explanations that were extremely verbose.Prentic Hall should oust this book and replace with Marakas ISBN 013744186-X, urge your professor to do the right thing and get rid of this terrible waste of paper.
