Rating: 1 out of 5 Way Outdated The information in the book and software on the CD-ROM is way-outdated. Look for more updated stuff---there are many better ones out there. Rating: 5 out of 5 Excellent overview of how to develop an online course This is a readable, detailed discussion that covers most of the factors and issues involved in putting a course on the Internet. It includes a load of excellent suggestions about course content and structure. The practical approach walks the reader through the steps from planning (which they wisely emphasize) to class management. They include some helpful diagrams and snippets of html and javascript for web site features. It will be a great help to the novice and a fine reference for those more experienced with online courses. Rating: 5 out of 5 Very good basic introduction to how and why, with software. The authors share their experiences and thoughts on using the world wide web as a teaching device. They tell you what you should and should not expect. They describe how to do it and include many programs on the accompanying CD. They focus on the university experience, which is what they have done. If you're interested in this area I highly recommend you get this book.
