Customer ReviewsRating: 5 out of 5 The author has a Massive Head I have met John W. Gosney, I know John W. Gosney, John W. Gosney is a friend of mine. I don't know about the quality of his books (I'm a sales guy, not a techie) but I do know he has a truly massive forehead. Rating: 1 out of 5 Empty Pages I recently purchased this title despite its mediocre ratings. I was just starting to use Homesite and generally I find it much easier to learn new material from a conherent book, rather than from disjointed help topics. However, this book was very disappointing. It goes into great detail on basic procedures that any Windows-savvy person already knows, then covers the more advanced topics in a shallow cookbook fashion. You can read through many pages and distill the contents down to a mere trickle of actual information. I found the on-line help to be a far better resource for learning the ins and outs of Homesite. I can not recommend this book for users at any level of proficiency. Rating: 1 out of 5 I guess it's ok if you have *no* clue I won't expound on all the typo's already reviewed. I'm disappointed that there is no meat to the book. It is a book of "click this button and you will get these results" There seems to be nothing more here than in the included documentation. Lots of verbage too. I don't need 5 lines of text explaining why the author chose to use an underscore as part of the name of the folder he created, or a whole page dedicated to the installation status bar. I bought the book for more detail on a few different aspects of Homesite and got absolutely nothing out of it. I wasted my money.
