Photoshop 7 Complete Course
This is definitely the most enjoyable, complete, user friendly photoshop book out there. Even though it is designed for the beginner, it has enough detailed to keep an advanced user entertained. I've tried the Bible and the Books by Adobe, this book is far superior. It not only shows you the tools, but also how to use them to nest effect and more importantly, when to use them (and it full colour!). Even when you have finished the course, you'll end up using this book as a reference book. If you are going to buy one book to learn Photoshop...you can't go wrong with this one.

very logical.
this book was wonderful. finally a practical learning material for students without having to handhold them thruout.

this review pertains not only to this book, but everything in life as well.

i think it's safe and accurate for myself to say that i've read and experienced a myriad of computer technology books geared toward design. what i noticed most about them is that the once authors propose a book to write, they have to meet strict deadlines. now, i don't know about how others think, but if it ain't right, it shouldn't be published. i'm not complaining about minuscule matters such as typos and such... give some of these confusing books published to technology critics at MIT or Harvard and they'll immediately notice the problem and may perhaps do empirical work to improve on these garbages produced.... as there is another problem to solve for them.

anytime a person is confused, something isn't right. now when a person patiently thinks and tries to problem solve and still wonders thereafter, one can only conclude that the author may perhaps know the subject matter well, but isn't mentally organized nor can teach. what i'm trying to say is that many books are not introduced in chronlogical order.
THE PROBLEM IS NOT whether the material is taught, it's how it's organized and displayed in chronological order to the reader.

The best Photoshop 7 book
Never mind the review below that it doesn't work perfectly with XP - it does. I've gone through the whole book and found only 2 places where the examples on the CD weren't exactly what was being explained, but that's such a small percentage it's not a problem. The fact is, this is the best hands-on, clearest explanation of how to actually use and live with Photoshop that I've ever used. Really.
