Great coffee table book...which is why it was created!
Great coffee table book...which is why it was created!

Just like the previous versions, this book offers interesting images
of different design from shops around the country. Some of the work is
break-thru creative, some mainstream and other experimental.

The previous review from another reader which casts any negative
editorial comments is narrow-minded...art and design is subjective!

The editors chose some obscure design shops and the big ones...from
NYC, the Midwest, the Mid-east and the far-out. You will see images
from the nets, design houses, cable companies and even indies.

Although my company did not submit any creative work to this
publication, we will this year...I feel the book is fun to read, engages my
clients and impacts the senses, just as the editors intended...it makes
you think!...We look forward to 2003.

nice pictures
there are not too many motion graphics books out there. as a motion graphics designer (featured in this book) i think the work in it is a "good" quality. however, the layout and the readability of the book itself is lacking some flow. i have not yet seen a book that explains things, for novice individuals, but instead see lots of picture books. pictures are good, but a cd would have been better. if you are interested in motion graphics and want to see what is out there, this is a good book. if you are a critical designer as i am, it is ok. i just wish someone would "write" more about this specialized area. i may have to write the next motion graphics book myself.
