You can control several program settings by going to View -> Program Options on the main menu, pressing CTRL + K, or click the Program Options icon on the main toolbar (as pictured below).

Two of the options you can control is whether you are allowed to pause the Timer during a test and whether you can continue the test after time has expired.

You may wish to disable these two timer options during a test for several reasons, two of which are:

• To create an atmosphere more like a real exam
• You are an employer/recruiter and wish to give a potential employee a test and not allow them to pause the timer or continue after time has expired

To change your pausing timer ability preference, click the 'Timer Settings' icon in the tree control in the left-hand panel (as shown below). Then you can check or uncheck the checkbox labeled 'Allow pausing of timer during a test'.

To change your continuing after time expires preference, click the 'Timer Settings' icon in the tree control in the left-hand panel (as shown below). Then you can check or uncheck the checkbox labeled 'Allow test to continue after time has expired'.

Click the OK button to accept your changes and close the options window.

Note: You cannot toggle these timer options once a test begins and the checkboxes will be disabled.
